Knowing how much you’ll pay in medical expenses ahead of time can be beneficial. At Madison Health, we’re committed to providing you high-quality, personalized health care — and to addressing your financial questions and concerns before you receive a bill.

Using the tools below, you can receive out-of-pocket estimates for health services including office visits with your provider, imaging/radiology, labor and delivery, surgery and laboratory tests. We charge the same for all patients, but what you actually pay depends on your insurance coverage.

Please note an estimate is the predicted amount you’ll pay for a service based on your insurance and what other patients have been charged in the past. An estimate is not a quote or guarantee of your final bill. An estimate may not include all services associated with a service or procedure, such as lab tests, doctors’ fees or medication.

How to get an Estimate

There are many ways to get a personalized estimate for an upcoming service or procedure at Madison Health.

Get an Estimate through MyChart

The easiest and recommended way is through your MyChart account. There are plenty of benefits to this free and secure online portal, including the ability to save your price estimates, communicate with your provider, request appointments, renew prescriptions, check your test results, pay your bills and keep your insurance updated and on file.

If you aren’t a current patient at Madison Health or don’t want to create a MyChart account, you can still get an instant price quote online using the guest estimates tool. You’ll be required to enter your insurance information each time you use this option.

Speak with a Member of our Team

If you have questions regarding estimates or want to get an estimate over the phone, contact our Patient Billing Customer Service at 1.740.845.7100 (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m.-5 p.m. EST). They can assist you in understanding the difference between the estimate and your bill, and provide information on financial assistance.

You may also start a dispute resolution process with the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). To learn more and get a form to start the process, go to www.cms.gov/nosurprises.

Tips for Searching for a Procedure using MyChart Online Estimate Tool

Once you login to MyChart, navigate to “estimates” under “Billing.” Then click “create a new estimate” and select OSU Wexner Medical Center.

You can choose to search by keyword or CPT code, or browse popular categories such as radiology and imaging.

Commonly used search terms:

  • Colonoscopy

  • Physical therapy

What if You can’t Find the Service or Procedure You’re Looking for?

Not all services or procedures are available within the MyChart price estimate tool. If you can’t find the estimate you need, contact a member of our patient billing customer service team to get an estimate.

Our price lists are available in a machine-readable file and can be downloaded into a spreadsheet program.
