Visitor policy and entrance hours

Madison Health recognizes the important role of visitors in the well-being of our patients. Our goal is to promote healing in a caring and compassionate environment. Effective Monday, April 18, our visitor policy includes the following:

The following patients are allowed two (2) visitors:*

  • Inpatients (during designated hours – 8am until 8:30pm)
  • Outpatients
  • Urgent Care

The following patients are allowed one (1) visitor:*

  • Emergency Department

* These restrictions are subject to change within each department, based on volume, patient condition, etc.

Approved Visitor Screening:

  • All approved visitors to Madison Health will be screened for symptoms and exposure history.
  • The screening will be performed by a Madison Health team member or volunteer at the Emergency Department entrance, main entrance and Park Avenue Medical Building entrance, and will include a series of questions.

For the safety and comfort of all patients, we ask all visitors to:

  • Wear a mask the entire time they are in the facility (per CDC guidelines).
  • Wear a mask in the patient room when staff is also in the room.
  • Wear a mask anytime they are outside the patient room. Masks may be removed to eat or drink in the diner or patient room.
  • Wash hands frequently.

If you are accompanying a patient receiving outpatient testing, please remain in the lobby while the testing is being performed.

Entrance Hours:

  • Main entrance – Open weekdays from 7am until 5pm.
  • Emergency Department entrance (facing Park Avenue) – Open 24/7.
  • Park Avenue Medical Building entrance – Open during normal operating hours.
